“Cycling is for everyone”
The story
Miles Baker-Clarke is a cycling industry strategist, marketer and community builder with a passion for the culture that exists around the bike. With more than a decade of experience working across cycling, media and marketing, Miles has become a familiar voice in the world of modern cycling.
He is the founder of Cycling Culture Club, a community-driven platform focused on making cycling more inclusive, representative and accessible, while telling the stories of the people who make cycling what it is.
"I first discovered the bicycle as a tool, a means to move about the city under my own steam. It didn’t cross my mind that the bike could be ridden in anger until many years later. I discovered that my legs could take me further and further and that was the catelyst, the moment that opened up my cycling road ahead of me. Years and many kilometers later and working in the industry I began to see cycling differently, I began to see the barriers, the underrepresentation and the opportunity to make cycling a more inclusive sport. More importantly, I began to see a pathway to making my own impact. That’s when I started Cycling Culture Club, an initiative designed to bring new voices and faces together to diversify cycling and 2 years on, we have close to 100 contributors, we’ve published several hundred articles, 20 podcasts and we touch people all over the world. It’s a great honor to work with partners like Tom at Çois who believe in our vision and support us on our journey."
