Exactly two years ago Jolien D'hoore reached out to us regarding the sponsorship of a cycling team she was about the join. The team was called NXTG, the development team of Natascha Knaven.
From the first moment we met Natascha, it was clear that she had a compelling vision for nurturing young cycling talents.
The idea was to provide young riders a safe and professional environment to develop their talent in the best circumstances.
In the meantime, the team progressed to a higher level under AG Insurance Soudal Quickstep, and alongside the U19 and U23 teams, an elite squad was added. However, always under the slogan 'Unlock Your Potential'. Could there be a more fitting slogan and philosophy?
It brings us immense joy to see that this very philosophy truly pays off.
Last week Ilse Pluimers became the U23 European champion on the famous VAMberg.
For Ilse this was the second title won at the European Championships, after the one of 2019, when she prevailed in the juniors race held in Alkmaar. Ilse was joined in the top ten by two AG Insurance - Soudal Quick-Step teammates - Gaia Masetti (4th) and Julia Kopecky (6th) - results that serve as testimony of this squad’s fantastic development program.
Do we even need to say how incredibly proud we are to be involved in this amazing project?
